Anjelica was born in California and moved to Rapid City when she was 5, after her father was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. She attended the University of South Dakota, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and Advertising with a Minor in Business Administration. While at college, Anjelica was heavily involved in the orchestra as violin section leader, as well as wearing many hats for the award-winning student-produced television broadcast, Coyote News, as an anchor, reporter, blogger, and web-editor. After college, she worked Sales at Verizon Wireless Corporate for 1 year, where she earned top accessory sales within the Great Plains District in her first month on the floor, and then worked as a Development Officer at The Journey Museum & Learning Center for 2 and a half years, where she grew memberships by 93.5%. She was chosen as the 2017 Association of South Dakota Museums Conference Marketing Speaker and is currently a board member for both the Rapid City YMCA and the Rapid City Young Professionals.
Anjelica received the 2016-2017 Rapid City Chamber of Commerce's Young Professional of the Year Award and was also named one of the University of South Dakota's Class of 2018 30 Under 30, for her accomplishments and involvement in the Rapid City community. She was also chosen to be part of the panel in picking the next South Dakota School of Mines & Technology President. Anjelica is also pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology.
Anjelica spends most of her time with her fiancé, Jake, and enjoys volunteering, playing violin and guitar, singing, eating, wine, going to the lake, painting and making crafts, and spending time with her wonderful friends and family.
