Matt Berger has served in the insurance and financial industries since 2011 and joined Western Dakota Insurors in 2013. Matt specializes in Life, Health, and Disability for individuals and employer groups. Previously, Matt worked with Waddell & Reed, where he held Series 7 and Series 66 investment licenses.
Matt holds the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation, which is jointly conferred by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the College for Financial Planning. For over 25 years, the LUTCF designation has been widely recognized as a mark of commitment and excellence in the insurance industry. LUTCF designees understand how to help individuals and business owners protect their income, manage risk, plan for retirement, and transfer wealth by properly utilizing life, health, disability, and long term care insurance.
Matt currently serves on the board of the Black Hills Chapter of NAIFA, is a member of the Black Hills Home Builders, and is involved in many other local organizations.Matt grew up in Montana and South Dakota, attained his AA from Ricks College, and his BA from Montana State University. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, hockey, downhill skiing, hiking, water skiing, golfing, and is a Certified High School Football and Basketball Official. Matt has three children and is married to Julie, an orthodontic assistant.
