Melissa is a South Dakota native, raised in Lemmon, SD. She began her insurance career in Dickinson, ND in 1999. She holds her Property/ Casualty and Life/ Health Insurance licenses and has her Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation from the National Underwriter Company.
Melissa loves to volunteer and give back to her community and is currently active in the Black Hills Homebuilders Association, Box Elder Chamber of Commerce and recently was a member of on the Douglas School District Community Advisory Committee and Douglas School District Strategic Planning Committee. Melissa also served on the Lemmon City Council, Lemmon Economic Development Board of Directors, is a past President of the Lemmon Area Chamber of Commerce and served on the Lemmon School District School Board before moving to the Rapid City area in October of 2021. Melissa joined Western Dakota Insurors in March of 2024 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager and truly enjoys helping her clients with all of their insurance and bonding needs.
Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, including her Fiancé David and their 4 children, Dillon, Kole, Molly and Cole. Melissa is an avid sports fan and loves cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders, Minnesota Twins and enjoys attending Rapid City Rush hockey as well.
